Conversations with a good friend
Kristin: “Do you have a minute to look at 3 pictures?”
Sarah: “Sure.”
K: “OK I sent them. Strangely enough, which two are the best (meaning worst)?”
S: “The 1st and 2nd. Is that really you?”
K: “Yes, you don’t remember me looking like that?”
S: “We didn’t know each other then.”
K: “Yes we did. It was 2006.”
S: “Wow, when I see the pictures I feel like it’s you, but it’s not really you. It seems like you were just trapped in another person’s body.”
K: “I know. It’s strange to look at them too. I don’t feel like that is me at all.”
S: “Your personality was so different then too. You are so fun now and I feel like the real you is how you are now, not back then. You should be so proud of yourself - That’s an awesome accomplishment.”
This is in reference to Sarah helping me pick the 2 pictures for the last post. It’s really quite amazing what can happen when you take control of your binge eating disorder, overcome it, and just feel really awesome about yourself again!
