Binge eating disorder help - Change your thinking
“There is nothing on earth that you cannot have - once you have mentally
accepted the fact that you can have it.”
– Robert Collier
In order to help yourself stop binge eating, you must change your thinking. There’s no two ways about it.
Binge Eating Disorder Help = Changing Your Thinking.
You’ve heard plenty of times before that we become what we think about most, right? So what is it that you find yourself thinking about most? Is it all the stress in your life? Binge eating disorder? How much you have to do? How much weight you have gained from binge eating disorder? How your relationships have changed because of binge eating disorder?
What is it?
Your thoughts and mind are extremely powerful. Think about everything that they control: Whether you are happy or sad, scared or not scared, distracted or paying attention, victim or victor, on top of the world or insecure. Needless to say, your thoughts control just about everything that happens to you… So wouldn’t you think that changing the way you think will help with binge eating disorder? Absolutely.
Let’s think about how a binge might happen. First, you have a thought. It might be that you are bored, lonely, angry, or even happy. That thought then triggers an image of food. Lots and lots of food. These images of food then trigger an action. This is the point where you make a decision: Are you going to binge or restrain from bingeing?
When I was binge eating, I remember thinking that I wish I could just get a day without having any kinds of thoughts. It would make my day so much easier. I’ll say it again: Thoughts are powerful! A single thought in any given second could have made me turn my car around and buy foods to binge on. Just a single thought of I’m sad. Angry. Lonely. Bored.
So, again, if you want binge eating disorder help, the first thing to do is to start to change the way that you think. Start thinking about being successful against binge eating disorder. When you feel good about beating this eating disorder, you will feel stronger. These new empowering feelings will produce better outcomes than giving in to binge eating.
Remember, we have a blank-like canvas in our mind. Give that canvas a good thought to help you refrain from bingeing instead of filling the canvas with binge-like thoughts. Changing your thinking really does make a positive difference with binge eating disorder help.

This is so true! Thank you, Kristin.
